It is a short documentary about composer Alexis Kirke who worked with Doreen Abbott (who has early Alzheimer’s) to develop Memory Jingles using algorithms and by manual composing. This was part of an artistic exploration of the idea that music can be used to help people with dementia memorize new facts for their daily life. The composition is called “Remember a Day” and was commissioned by Peninsula Arts Contemporary Music Festival 2014 (Thinking Music) and will be premiered at 8pm on Friday 7th Feburary 2014.
